Hey everyone! Hope all my friends here on the East Coast are staying warm!
So sorry for the lack of entries lately. Those of you who follow me on social probably know I was really ill over the holidays and had to have an outpatient procedure, so there wasn’t too much outfit sharing going on 🙂
I’ve also been really caught up in, of course, my full-time job, which is my top priority, and have had a lot of cool freelance opportunities. And you know me, I rarely turn down any opportunity to write more or spend more time on social – haha! But even the seemingly small projects can turn into really big projects. As much as I’m committed to writing here and participating in the conscious fashion community with all of you, a girl’s gotta pay the bills!
Anyway, I’m working from home today and trying to get caught up on so many miscellaneous projects and tasks. A cozy, but busy, snow day calls for a comfortable outfit, and I’m SO excited about my new Free Label Sunday pants.
For those of you who have been following along with my conscious fashion journey, you know I am a huge fan of Free Label. They were one of the first ethical fashion brands I purchased from. Not only are their clothes awesome, but they are too! They always engage with their fans on social and are honestly the nicest people ever.
So, back to the Sunday pant. FIRST OF ALL, I really wanted to wear this with my Andie bra, but it was dirty because once you own Free Label clothes, you wear them all the time. So instead I just wore a cropped tank from Zara that I got on Poshmark a bit ago. Still comfortable, but not Andie bra level. Not even close.
These pants are so, so comfortable. They are made of bamboo, so they’re light and silky, and also great for working out since bamboo is naturally sweat wicking. They’re ethically made in Toronto, and I love the ruching at the ankles and the deep pockets.
I am 5’3″ and went for the XS, which worked perfectly for me as these run a bit large (in my opinion). The waistband can be rolled down (like I have it) or worn high-waisted, but I have a really short torso and if I don’t roll it down, it goes all the way up to my chest!
What I love most about these pants, besides the comfort, is that I feel like they’re also a chic, casual pant to wear out and about. Most of my comfy clothes aren’t things I’d actually leave the house in, but these are extremely flattering. I love how Free Label makes truly multi-functional clothing, pieces you can easily wear to the gym or dress up for regular wear.
What’s your favorite thing to wear when you’re home on a snow day?
