I finished my winter 10 x 10! Thanks for following along. 🙂
On day 9 I repeated my Miranda Bennett everyday top and my Madewell jeans. I half-tucked it, even though I know some people loathe a half-tuck, because it makes my short frame look taller and it also kept it sort of out of the way, since I was doing a lot of errands.
Thoughts on this look: It’s okay. I think I’d prefer this with different jeans and no half-tuck. But I do love this top.
On day 10, I wrapped it up with my VETTA culottes and philosophy top, and a Madewell bandana.
Thoughts on this look: Won’t be repeating it. I felt like an old Western robber. LOL.Â
Overall, I had such a great time participating in this challenge. I feel like I learned how to be more resourceful and creative with my wardrobe, and got a better perspective on how many clothes I actually need. I still had several more combinations I could have made with these 10 items by the end of the challenge.
It was also fun to follow along on Instagram and connect with other like-minded people.
In other news, I realized I’ve gained a lot of new followers here and on Instagram, so wanted to do a quick re-intro in case you haven’t made it over to my About page.
It’s me!
My name is Kellie and I live in Connecticut with my husband. I work in marketing in the sustainability industry, fighting plastic waste. I’m really passionate about ethical and conscious fashion as it is another massive source of waste in our society.
Getting a job in the sustainability industry, about two years ago, made me start to question my shopping habits and how my addiction to fast-fashion was harmful to the planet, people, and actually to my wallet as well.
Prior to working in sustainability I was really ignorant of how our choices affect the earth – I worked in public relations in the consumer goods/ beauty industry and felt that I was playing keeping-up-with-the-Joneses a lot of the time.
In my spare time, I volunteer with an animal rescue and also do freelance social media work. And I’m ALSO getting my master’s. I keep busy. 🙂
My hobbies include cooking (especially plant based foods! though my husband is not vegan), reading and spending time with my two rescue cats, Luna and Ares.
It’s nice to meet you all, feel free to leave me a comment and let me know your interests and hobbies as well!
xx
