It already feels like I’ve been doing this capsule for longer than two weeks – it’s funny how having a routine can alter our sense of time.
This week was an interesting one; my outfits were definitely a little more creative than what I usually wear and what you’d usually see so early in a capsule. I did some wardrobe planning for this coming week and my outfits will be a bit more consistent, I think. Not that it really matters how consistent they are I suppose, but I’d like to feel a little more like myself.
I absolutely love this dress from Devan Gregori (gifted) – it’s like a work of art. The embroidery is inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi. You can save 15% off full-priced pieces with code KELLIE15. This outfit is one of the ones that felt the most “me.”
Capsule items: Devan Gregori Stella Shift Dress in Oyster (gifted)
Accessories: Vince mules (secondhand, similar here); Mejuri Charlotte Bold Hoops
I didn’t love this outfit, and it caused quite the discussion on Instagram! As it turns out, I just don’t love this tunic with anything except leggings. I think it is important to remember not every item of clothing needs to be really versatile (as long as you love it!) – but I’ve decided to remove this from my capsule and swap something else in.
Capsule items: Elizabeth Suzann Harper Tunic in Black; Madewell 10-Inch High Rise Button Fly Denim (old, similar here)
Accessories: Gold-dipped Kale Necklace (vintage); Black Ankle Boots (old)
Way trendier than I’d typically wear, but this was a fun one! I’d wear it again.
Capsule items: Sézane EPS Tee; ABLE Cheetah Midi Skirt (gifted)
Accessories: Faire Collection Edie Earrings (gifted); Studded Boots (not available and didn’t see anything similar enough, will let you know if I find something!)
This outfit was just okay for me, which is interesting because I love all the items individually. It was very comfortable for the work day though, and looked good on Zoom meetings!
Capsule items: Mate the Label Tee in Bone; Eileen Fisher Notch Collar Jacket in Bramble; Abercrombie & Fitch Distressed Denim in Black
Accessories: Faire Collection Luna Necklace (gifted); Vrai Cuban Link Chain
Casual and cozy, this undoubtedly felt the most “me!” It’s interesting that Fridays have brought my favorite outfits so far.
Capsule items: Jenni Kayne Cabin Sweater (I realized I left this off my original capsule list! It was in one of my sweater cubes and I must have just missed it when I was documenting my picks); Madewell 10-Inch High Rise Button Fly Denim (old, similar here)
Accessories: Mejuri Charlotte Bold Hoops, Mejuri Bangle; Snakeskin Mules (old)
I did get dressed Saturday but I skipped documenting it, so I’ll share that outfit another time! Today (Sunday) I was casual at home. I added these jeans from AYR to my capsule to interchange with my Madewell jeans, which are starting to show some serious wear. They’re my favorite jeans, so I want to lessen the heavy wear on them that comes from capsule inclusion. I think I’ll count them as one item, which sort of feels like cheating, but they serve the same purpose in an outfit and are very similar, in the end.
Capsule items: Tradlands Shelter Cardigan in Storm (gifted); Mate the Label Layering Tank in Bone; AYR the Riser Denim
Accessories: St. Agni Studio Woven Mules (similar here); Mejuri Bold Chain Ring; Mejuri Honey Signet
All for now xx
